The garden is starting its second year as a full fledged community garden. At present we have 6- 10×15 foot plots. We have a dedicated waterline on which we pay no sewer costs so our bill is low. We are allowed to water in spite of the Georgia drought because we grow food products.
The garden is on land held in common by residents of the Tapestry Community. We do not limit the garden to Tapestry residents only. We have room for expansion if and when we have enough strong backs and interested gardeners.
We have grown carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, green onions, limas, green beans, watermelons, cucumbers, sugar snap peas and more in our plots. Our soil is amazingly friable for a Georgia Garden.
