We have a small but growing organic community garden in a 5-acre park in the center of historic Wyncote. Each family (there are 10 now) can garden 2 four by eight plots with organic fruits and vegetables. The surplus gets donated to a local food bank. This is the first community garden in Cheltenham Township. We are currently coming under attack by one neighbor who thinks looking at a barren garden in the winter is unsightly, but otherwise, it’s been a great success in bringing families together to garden.
We use a neighbor’s water by hose.
