We are a non-profit organization operating 6 organic community gardens in the city limits of Long Beach, CA.

Founded in 1994, we locate urban vacant lots from public and private owners and turn them into beautiful community gardens for local and sustainable food production. Garden plots are rented on a six month basis, March to Aug and Sept to Feb.

In addition to keeping waiting lists for each of our six existing gardens, we are actively expanding our gardens and maintain a citywide waiting list of names and addresses of residents in the Long Beach area that are interested in building a garden in their neighborhood. We plan to use computer mapping technology to match potential gardeners in the same neighborhood with vacant lots or appropriate municipal spaces.

If you are someone you know are interested in gardening at an existing garden or developing or joining a new community garden in your neighborhood, please go to our website and email us your name and address
