The Mission of the Estes Valley Community Garden (EVCG) is to enrich the individual, social, and environmental health of the residents of the Estes Valley through gardening and gardening knowledge, by providing residents the opportunity to grow some of their own food, thus encouraging the community to become more sustainable.
There are dedicated plots for the local food bank and several school and youth groups. Plot rental sponsorships are available for qualifying low-income families or individuals.
Plots are 4′ x 10′. Some are tall, accessible plots and one smaller plot is accessible for seated/wheelchair gardening.
Garden is fenced to discourage elk, deer, and other critters. There is a tool shed, timed drip irrigation as well as hoses, a Children’s Area, and a Gathering Area now being developed for educational and social garden activities. Restrooms nearby.
The Garden is located in Stanley Park which is a facility of the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District and the Town of Estes Park – our Partner organizations.
EVCG incorporated and became a 501(c)(3) in 2014; groundbreaking was in November 2015. The first growing season was 2016.
