For more than fifteen years, Airlie’s Local Food Project (LFP) garden has produced organic foods for the Airlie Center kitchen while educating guests about sustainable agriculture. Visitors are welcome to explore the garden at any time or a conference planner can arrange a group tour of the four-acre organic culinary garden. The garden features some 60 varieties of vegetable crops over the course of the season, a passive solar hoop house where food is grown year-round and an organic corn maze in the fall.

As part of every tour, Local Food Project staff share their food growing expertise and talk about the basics of organic gardening, offering tips and techniques to apply in a home garden. Guests will learn how the garden supports the year round needs of Airlie Center’s dining room.

Groups and individuals are welcome to apply to be a part of the new Community Garden within the Local Food Project garden.
