Thank you for considering submitting a proposal for the 2018 ACGA Annual Conference. The conference brings together hundreds of individuals from across the United States, Canada, and abroad who are engaged in all aspects of gardening and greening. The conference includes hands on workshops, keynote speakers, and visits to community gardens, parks, schools, and other green space throughout Metro-Atlanta.

We would love to hear about your work! We are seeking a diverse group of presenters to share a wide range of information about gardening and greening, including:

*Organizers and Leaders
*Public Employees
*Parks and Planning Staff
*Teachers and other Educators
*Community Food Security Advocates

*Master Gardeners

Incomplete applications or applications not adhering to word count limitations may be rejected. Please note: if you have multiple panel members in your group, please be sure to specify below how you will split your time between the panel members. Panels, Workshops and Posters


You have the option to present your work in three different formats. An application submission is required regardless of the presentation format. Most sessions will be 50 minutes long. You may propose shorter or longer sessions. Highest priority will be given to engaging, hands-on, interactive, experiential, panel and team presentations, and participant-inclusive discussions. We discourage the use of PowerPoint except to show pictures. Presenters receive a $100 registration discount and are responsible for paying the remainder of the conference fee. ACGA does not cover presenters' travel or accommodation costs. Some scholarships will be available. Please specify how you would like the $100.00 discount to be split. You may also opt to donate your discount to the ACGA as a tax-deductible donation.



Evaluation of Proposals: The ACGA Program Committee evaluates proposals based on FOUR categories


1. Relevance to community gardening and the conference themes.
2. Clarity of focus
3. Degree of potential audience engagement
4. Practical applicability
