Note to New Members

Included in your new membership will be a one-year subscription to Organic Gardening, valued at $23.94. There are no hidden obligations and you will not receive any bills.  Each new member will receive with his/her membership packet a free subscription card to fill out and return to Organic Gardening.

What ACGA Membership Does For You

Regional training workshops

Experts may facilitate trainings in your region around our curriculum, Growing Communities: Community Building and Organizational Development through Community Gardening. Trainings will be catered to your group's needs, and are designed to improve practical skills.

Publications

Receive our annual Greening Review publication, our quarterly newsletter "The Community Gardener", our monthly enewsletter, and new members receive a year's subscription to the Organic Gardening magazine by Rodale Press. Members also receive a discount on all ACGA publications at our store.

ACGA Website and List Serve

ACGA operates an information packed website with free downloads. Our list serve group can answer your questions about who is doing what, where, and when; to find information about community gardening related to specific topics; or to share information about something you have discovered.

Annual Conference

Meet with other community gardening and open space advocates and share information, experiences and fun through workshops, seminars, tours and informal discussions. Receive an Annual Conference registration discount by becoming an ACGA Member today. Organizational members receive up to four registrations to Conference at the membership discounted rate.

Mentoring

Mentors are available to identify potential resources and address specific technical matters.

Education and advocacy

ACGA manages Garden Mosaics, a youth and community-based curriculum for young gardeners and teachers. Our advocacy committee works to educate the public and policy makers about the importance of community gardening.

Funding Opportunities

ACGA can help your community garden find funding and grants to help you start or sustain your project.

Voting Privileges

All members get one vote in ACGA's annual election of the Board of Directors. All members are also eligible to run for membership on the board.
